Located in the southwest of the Massif Central, Aveyron offers spectacular landscapes. Its plateaus, called the Causses, have unique flowers. These huge plateaus are surrounded by the most charming rivers of France, for exemple, the Lot, and the Tarn rivers, which often flow in deep gorges that are perfect for canoing.
In the north of country, you will find the Aubrac.

Althought, its sometimes looks like the highlands, in summer, its wild cows (famous for their taste) remind you some old western movie. In south, sheep dominate the economy, their milk is used for making Roquefort cheese which is matured in limestone caves, a interesting place to visit.
