The « Forges de Rodez » company was born 30 years ago, making, building and selling some of the best stoves ever to see the light. They sure had bad days, watching the birth and raise of the microwave oven. But they never bent down. Against all odds, company-founder André Belot not only proudly resisted so-called modernity but he also kept on innovating, trying new ways, and kept on improving his « collections ». For he is not a mere oven and stove maker : in the same way a fashion designer dresses women, he dresses his hearths – with heart and soul. He set the trend for wood-stove cooking back in the 70’s, long before it happened to be such worldwide hype. André Belot now counts thousands of followers all around the world, from professionals to home-cooks.

Being a true craftsman himself, André Belot wants his troops to stand as close to excellency as he does. So that anything coming out of one of his numerous Rodez-district workshops can’t be but…excellent ! They all laugh at the eastern-importated ovens, the kind that come complete with phoney weld showings, like they’ve been made in the old way ! Welds don’t have, can’t have to be shown say André and his men ! And they do deliver beautiful and speckless products.
Let’s remind that this Rouergue blacksmith has steel and iron flowing through his veins. Grand-dad was a clockwork master, and Dad a cartwright on the shores of Lot river. The Belot family has stood through whole decades, and so do their state-of-the-heart masterpieces !
