> Come in Puech Maynade and
feel like a cow-boy !

Saddle up with your Appaloosa, a horse that is no stranger to cattle work and is ridden on a long rein and respond to a neck rein.
Here you are face to face with the Herefords and Black Angus that make up the herd.
Today, Pierre Maupas has to move the herd from one pasture to another. Sound simple? Well it isn’t. It’s all a question of strategy. You have to try not to panic the cattle! Or to push them too quickly towards the gate designed to avoid a dangerous crush, or worst of all, letting them scatter across the field.

It’s just as well the Appaloosas are keeping their eye on things. They have that cow sense we discovering, which bonds cowboys and their horses for decades on end
Our training courses are aimed at riders from beginners to experienced equestrians looking to be initiated into a different kind of riding: WESTERN RIDING.
Founded on trust and mutual respect with a rigorous work ethic, Western riding means that all riders from 7 to 77 can ENJOY themselves in all SAFETY.

Pierre and Marie MAUPAS and their three children, Elodie, Rémi and François live on the estate and provide its lifeblood.
Pierre, who holds a National Diploma, runs the riding school.
A western riding instructor with impressive working facilities (covered manege, arena, round-pen, permanent riding trail) Pierre teaches not only technique, but also enthusiasm to anyone who is ready to learn and improve.
